Voices Northwest is directed by Sue Beck, who has seven Regional
championship quartet medals, 35 years of chorus experience, and
has been a director of Ovation, the Region 13 chorus of quartet
champions. After 35 years of membership, Sue won the Novice director award at the 2008 Region 13 competition.
Sue's first regional quartet win was in 1986 with Seattle Times and
the latest came in 2004 with SoundDesign. The founder of Pacific
Sound Chorus, Sue also sang with the Lakeside Chapter for 10 years.
She was member of the Sweet Adelines International Board of
Directors, and is currently a Certified Showmanship Judge and a
Certified International Faculty Member.
Our chorus was formed in the Fall of 2006 to fill a geographic void in a cappella singing for women in the greater Snohomish County, WA area. While there are many other choruses in the Puget Sound region (click here for some links!), nothing was available in the Everett/Snohomish area. That all ended in late 2006 when several women got together and began the process to become an official Sweet Adelines International chapter.
We officially chartered in January 2008 and are off to a running start! Visit us to join in the fun and see where the adventure leads!
